The idea for this piece came to me when I was playing around with a neat little program called “GrandPerspective” for macs. When you run this program it searches your whole hard drive and then spits out a visual representation of every file on the hard drive. See below.
The bigger the boxes are, the larger that files size is. I really liked how colorful it was so I took the image it created and put my own twist on it.
I call it “Digital Fibers”. I created this effect with the art history brush and then added the apple logo on top.
Recently I visited a sweet website that had an interactive music video clip that allows you to draw the music you’re listening to by using a brush that reacts to the music and lyrics. You can also play it back when its finished to watch your masterpiece. Here are some screen shots and website link.
I had to come up with some new designs for my works T-Shirts, this is what i came up with. Our tree logo is built with our core values (sustainable, impactful, different, relevant, precise). The first of many i hope… I would like to get in the habit of creating something every day… whether it takes 2 minutes or hours. The theme that came to mind was money and this is the demon that came out haha.
So Stacy needed a new car… and i have to say i was dreading the whole processes of us both getting on the same page and finding a car that we both agree on. In my mind we needed something small and had GREAT gas milage. Stacy on the other hand wanted an SUV, something roomy and large. After some back and forth discussion we agreed to go the rout of the Compact SUV. After research and style choices we figured we would give the CR-V a run.
I have to admit that when i thought of the CR-V i thought about that ugly small car with a tire hanging off the back… but the newer models actually look pretty nice. After the initial first impressions we took a look inside and test drove it around. I instantly knew that this car was perfect for what we needed. We were sold. We now are proud owners of a 2009 CR-V… a car thats “cute”, has great gas mileage, lots of utility, and will last forever.
